Yoga & Shibashi Qigong

Here the ancient practices of yoga and qigong intertwine to nurture both body and spirit.

Through gentle yet powerful movements, these time-honored disciplines offer a pathway to healing and holistic well-being.

Qigong and Mindful Eating

Qigong is a sequence of slow movements. The benefits are numerous including gentle, easy-to-learn sequences that loosen stiff joints, keep the spine mobile, strengthen the core, and improve balance. Qigong elevates one's sense of well being and mood by increasing circulation and more.

Preliminary studies suggest that the slow movements in Qigong along with slowing of breath frequency could restore balance of the autonomic nervous system reducing stress and anxiety.

“Move your joints every day. You have to find your own tricks. Bury your mind deep in your heart, and watch the body move by itself.”

— Sri Dharma Mittra

Weekly Yoga and Qigong Classes

Shibashi Qigong

Qigong is offered as a Livestream Class Monday-Friday 8:30-9am (MDT)

Shibashi is a set of Qigong developed by Lin Hou Sheng.

Qigong (pronounced chee gong) is an ancient Chinese healing art and self-cultivation system. This includes simple, gentle movement, posture, breathing techniques, self-massage and meditation.

Qigong energizes the body and calms the mind. With daily practice it is effective in preventing  disease by strengthening the immune system and clearing energy blockages. Inner peace and inner strength are developed. Qigong is thousands of years old, yet it remains the perfect natural health system for the challenges of modern life.

Yoga Classes

Earth and Breath Yoga

A grounded and nourishing yoga practice for women in midlife and beyond.

Earth and Breath Yoga is a weekly class designed especially for peri- and postmenopausal women seeking strength, steadiness, and soul-deep renewal. Rooted in the wisdom of nature and the changing seasons, this well-rounded practice blends gentle yet effective stretching, bone-strengthening poses, and breathwork (pranayama) to support your body and regulate your nervous system.

We draw inspiration from the elements—Earth for stability and structure, and Air for breath, spaciousness, and presence. Each class offers modifications for all levels and emphasizes embodiment, resilience, and connection to your inner rhythm.

You’ll leave feeling more rooted, open, and alive. As a weekly ritual, a thoughtfully chosen poem or reflection is shared during class and sent to your inbox afterward—to carry the practice into your week.

I will be moving my zoom location outdoors to the woods near my home as the weather warms.  Nature is our teacher, and this class is a celebration of being in rhythm with it.

Tuesdays, 10-11 AM (MDT)
